VbaCompiler for Excel enables you to protect VBA code located in Excel files. It can do so by compiling it into DLL file binary code. It can compile VBA code in MS Excel workbooks as well as add-ins, and in this way effectively protect it against copying or recovery.
Compilation process consists of several steps. First, VBA code gets converted to C-code, which then gets compiled into DLL file. VBA code then gets removed and external DLL function calls gets added to the file. Original files are not modified, as VbaCompiler for Excel works with a copy. Nonetheless, a backup of original files is still recommended.
In order for application to function, you will need to have MS Excel installed on your machine, where you will have to enable "Trust access to the VBA project object model" option. Before compilation can be done, you will also have to check VBA code for errors and correct them, and also remove passwords from the files you want to compile. Passwords can be added to compiled files again later.
As you can see, the process of protecting your VBA code with VbaCompiler for Excel is quite simple. All you need to do is follow a few steps. The interface of the application is very straightforward, and there is also detailed documentation available, in case you run into any troubles.
